Jeremy Corbyn has a decades-long record of being on the right side of history and yesterday was no exception. Yesterday, in his Chatham House appearance, he talked about the importance of cyber-security – neglected by an NHS under massive cost- and resource-strain – hours before yesterday’s ransomware attack on dozens of NHS hospitals and practices:

As it was revealed yesterday that the average spending of an NHS Trust on IT security management was just £22,000 and many trusts didn’t know if they spent anything, the Tories have to be held responsible. If hospitals can’t afford the absolute essentials for patient care, ‘IT stuff’ is bound to go onto the back burner.
