Labour First, in spite of its name, is not an official Labour entity. In fact, since a couple of weeks ago it is a limited company. Here’s the beginning of its Companies House entry:
Luke Akehurst, well known as the founder of Labour First and for his vehement anti-Corbyn and anti-Left stance, is one of the company’s directors, along with Labour MP John Spellar, noted for his undisguised disdain for Corbyn supporting members, and Keith Dibble.
Labour First has been at the heart of much of the anti-Corbyn agitation and recently raised £40,000 to employ a co-ordinator, Matt Pound, with the task of organising opposition to the party’s left-wing majority, rallying conference delegates and promoting Labour First.
