Part-Time Workers Face Benefit Sanctions Under Universal Credit | Welfare Weekly

Part-Time Workers Face Benefit Sanctions Under Universal Credit | Welfare Weekly.

Not content with sanctioning those that unfortunately have to claim either Job Seekers Allowance or Employment & Support Allowance WRAG group, the raving sociopath Iain Duncan Smith has now decided that those on Universal Credit who only work part time, sometimes through no fault of their own if for instance they are forced to job share or are on zero hour contracts, will now be sanctioned if the Job Centre decides they are not trying hard enough to find either additional hours or extra supplementary work!

Work and Pensions Secretary Iain Duncan Smith has confirmed that part-time workers could face benefit sanctions under Universal Credit.

Iain Duncan Smith told the Work and Pensions Select Committee that trials were being carried out in parts of the North-West of England, on removing benefits from part-time workers who refuse to take on extra hours.

Now remember people, these sanctions are now no longer exclusive to the unemployed, he’s now hitting the working people, you! Still think you’re safe from the Tories & Austerity? Think again.

Vote Labour in 2015 and help put things right.
